About Capstone

 

Background

We’re a small family owned and operated business.  We’ve done construction work part-time for over twenty years and full-time since retiring from the military in November 1999.  We initially worked in the Cape Girardeau, MO area, but moved to St. Louis to be closer to the church we attend and family.  Our company name was chosen to be a constant reminder of who we serve, who meets our needs, and whose resources we are managing.

For everything comes from God alone; everything lives by his power, everything is for his glory. Rom 11:36

Capstone : The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone. Psalm 118:22, Ephesians 2:20. We believe Jesus is the foundation upon which everything good and meaningful in life is built.

Trinity : At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.  As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.  And a voice came from heaven (Father): "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."  Mark 1:9-11, Isaiah 42:1, Acts 4:12.  We believe in the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and that through Jesus we have a bridge to the Father.  We believe that when you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, ask him to come into your heart, and make him the Lord of your life, the Holy Spirit will enter your life and guide you toward God’s purpose.

As a Christian based company:

- we use our values and beliefs to provide honest, quality work.

- we use our God given gifts and talents to serve others with construction and major repair needs.

 

Core Values & Beliefs

- We believe every word of the Bible is true from cover to cover. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. John 1:1-2.

- We choose to follow God’s word everyday. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

- We continue to focus on growing in our relationship with God. We must work toward the single purpose of knowing God, for life without God is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes 2:17.

- We help others to know of God’s immeasurable, unconditional love and to accept His free gift of salvation to have eternal life. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.

Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.John 3:3-5.

- We express our love for God and His sacrifice for us by serving others. Choose for yourselves whom you will serve, but as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15, Matthew 23:11.
